Taghkanic Sportsmen vote aginist Skoda

Dear Editor,
I would hope you will print this open letter to the sportsmen's, hunters, and gun owners who reside in the Town of Taghkanic. I have been hearing rumors, and whispers that Joyce Thompson and Martha Meier, who are running for the town council, are out to stop hunting and shooting in Taghkanic. I would like to caution all of my fellow and lady gun owners that this is just cheap town gossip being spread by supporters of Skoda and Sammons to sway your vote. I ask you all to look at Skoda’s voting record on guns.
The fact is that when I wanted to renew my federal firearms license which I had for twelve years Richard Skoda, acting as the Zoning chairman and James Romaine the secretary of the West Taghkanic Gun Club, also on the Zoning Board, voted against it saying it was a retail store, in spit of the fact that it was not. This license was used to help the residents of Taghkanic make legal and responsible gun trades and at no cost to them. It allowed residents to go on-line and purchase a firearm from out of state and have sent to my home where the appropriate legal checks were done. This assured the public that buyer and the seller were not a convicted felons and that guns were not stolen.
Richard Skoda voted against your rights to be secure when buying or trading guns.
Skoda didn't think his vote through, he relied on someone else to do his thinking for him. His vote was based on vengeance and spite, all because I exposed the shady activities of his cohorts on the Boards. Skoda never once considered the rights of other gun owners or the safety of the people. And keep in mind what Skoda did to one he’ll do to another. So don’t be taken in by the cheap gossip being spread about by simple minded people acting like parrots for a political party.
We the Sportsmen and gun owners can not afford to let someone Richard Skoda be elected as a councilmen in Taghkanic. He’s a man who happens to be a good farmer and as its often said “You should stick too what your good at!” I am a sportsmen, a hunter and avid shooter. My neighbors are Councilwomen Edwards and Mrs. Joyce Thompson and I have not heard a single complaint about my shooting activities. I think most of us would agree that any politician who goes after guns or hunting rights in this county is committing political suicide. This gun enthusiast is voting for Martha Meier and Joyce Thompson.
